“Ben first came to meet us, to discuss mortgage options. As first -time buyers, we didn't really know what we might be able to afford, so Ben ran through various models to show what our repayments would most likely be. Very helpfully, he sent us breakdowns of a number of a number of different mortgages (based on value, going up in 10 increments). Based on these, we began searching for a house. Things moved quickly after that - we viewed a house and put in an offer. Another buyer matched our offer. But the vendor chose to accept ours - this was very much because, after speaking with Ben again, he arranged our mortgage in principle, so we could convince the vendor that we were serious and had everything in place to go through with the sale as quickly as possible. Ben also put in calls to the estate agent to satisfy them that we were serious and our finances were in good order. Further down the line, Ben was extremely helpful in dealing with queries between ourselves, the estate agent, the mortgage provider and solicitors. It's not overstating facts to say that if it weren't for Ben's help, we wouldn't have secured our house.”
