Buying in Chester
Chester is a Roman walled city that remains one of the most historic in the UK. It’s popular with locals and tourists alike, who enjoy its picturesque Tudor-style town centre, historic museums and interesting theatres, including the Storyhouse, which shows both indoor and outdoor productions. Although technically a city, Chester retains small-town charm whilst being a popular destination for shopping, restaurants and the theatre.
Chester is also a university town, with around 15,000 students making it their home over the course of the academic year. Because of this, there is a lively and varied nightlife and plenty of interesting shops, cafes and restaurants to visit. As such an historic city, Chester is ideal for those with an interest in the past. The Grosvenor Museum is filled with locally-found Roman artefacts, which can be brought to life with a visit to the Roman ruins that are close to the city centre.
