We have been catering for clients' Financial Services needs since 1994, and specialise in providing mortgage and protection advice.
We make recommendations using the Whole of the Market, and we are fully regulated and are registered by the Financial Conduct Authority No. 686017
We are a family run business with integrity as our cornerstone. We pride ourselves on our knowledge and experience, specifically within the mortgage and protection arena, as well as our role as expert witness in family law proceedings. Our business has grown over the years, and one of the main reasons for thisgrowth has been clients referring friends and family, having had an excellent experience. This applies equally to clients and solicitors who have instructed us to produce Mortgage Capacity Reports. We are firmly in favour of the Collaborative Law process and are proud of our Resolution membership.

Jacques Pienaar - Principal
Jacques has been in UK Financial Services since 1994 and prior to that in South Africa since 1989. He has had his own IFA business and has also worked for a number of well known companies including Eagle Star, Scottish Amicable, National Mutual and Standard Life. Jacques is a retired rugby captain and still enjoys the occasional Sunday cricket match playing for East Dean Cricket Club. Jacques also acts as an expert witness in family court proceedings. He regularly produces Mortgage Capacity Reports for solicitors and their clients to demonstrate clients' capacity to mortgage following divorce.
Anthea Pienaar CeMAP - Mortgage and Protection Adviser
Anthea has been a Mortgage and Protection Broker since 2003, having worked as a Personal Choice Manager at Lloyds Bank for a number of years prior to that. Anthea enjoys regular walks on the South Downs with the family and their dog, and she practices Yoga whenever she can make the time. "When deciding to establish Protea Financial Services, Jacques and I decided to use our wealth of collective experience to focus on what we believe to be the area with the greatest potential for growth, and one that we both enjoy helping clients with, namely Mortgages and Protection . The Protea is South Africa's national flower, and as Jacques and I were both born there (and I love flowers) it seemed a fitting name for our business."
