Buying in Lancaster
Lancaster is a beautiful city in the North West of the UK, surrounded by rolling green hills and steeped in hundreds of years of culture and history. This, combined with the recently regenerated riverside and buoyant night-time economy, make it a great place to settle down and call home.
As the county town of Lancashire, Lancaster is well located for access to local beauty spots: the seaside town of Morecambe, the Lake District and the beautiful Forest of Bowland are located just a short drive away. In the town itself, Lancaster Castle looms on the skyline, a stark reminder of the town’s past, and traditional pubs and Georgian buildings make for an elegant town centre.

Living in Lancaster
For those who are looking for a town with not only amenities but also a strong sense of culture and community, Lancaster is just the ticket. The Lancaster Jazz Festival draws people from all over the area and there is a strong live music scene supported by pub-venues.
This community spirit is particularly evident in the nearby village of Halton - an historic village that dates as far back as the 11th century. Here there are a wide range of homes: everything from barn conversions to bungalows.
Bowerham is popular with families because of its proximity to good primary schools, though the area is also popular with students. In terms of primary schools, Bowerham School and Moorside Primary School are some of the best-rated. When it comes to secondary schools, Lancaster Royal Grammar and Our Lady’s Catholic College are well-liked by both children and parents.
