Transport in Plymouth
As a coastal city, you might expect that it could take a long time to get in and out of Plymouth, especially in the summer. Plymouth is serviced by the A38, which runs from the southernmost junction of the M5 in Exeter. However, if you feel like ditching the car, the city is well-connected through public transport, with a busy train station and regular bus routes around the surrounding area.
You can expect a train journey from Plymouth to Bristol to take between two and three hours, whilst commuting to Truro is around 1 hour 10 minutes, and to Exeter can take as little as an hour.
